Mini Garden

You will need:

• Small pots
• Compost
• Selection of seeds, fast growing ones and edible seeds are good for kids, e.g. cress

Instructions:

1. Give each child a small pot and have them fill it ¾ full with compost.
2. Plant some seeds in each pot and cover with some compost (check seed instructions for depth of seeds)
3. Lightly water the pots and place e.g. on a window sill
4. Have your child check the pot each day to see if the plants have appeared
5. Once plants have appeared, you could mark down measurements each day to see how quickly plants grow.
6. Let them harvest when ready if using edible seeds and help make e.g. a cress salad or sandwich
