Adventures in Music: Children that Can't Sit Still

On Sunday 10 January Adventure in Music kicks off its sixth‘Gigs for Families’ series at the St. Patrick’s Bandhall (next to the train station) with a trad session for lively music loving ‘Children that Can’t Sit Still!’ Once again our famous fiddlers Liz Kane and Tola Custy will team up and this time they’re bringing their friends Jimmy Fitz (guitar), Daire O’Neil (flute and tin whistle) and Emma O’Sullivan (Sean Nos Dancer).

Traditional music fans nationwide will be familiar with the work of each of these performers but not everyone will know the work they do with children. Tola Custy and Liz Kane regularly bring traditional music to national school children through out Galway and Jimmy Fitz has will be performing from his treasure trove of original and heart warming children’s songs. Emma O’Sullivan, All Ireland Oireachtas Sean Nos Champion, will no doubt to be an inspiration to all our little aspiring Irish dancers.
