Child Friendly Eating in Clare PDF Print E-mail

Ideally a child friendly restaurant would have a yummy menu, healthy drinks, plenty of baby seats, room for buggies, and activities for the kids. It's pretty challenging to find somewhere in Clare that meets ALL the criteria. So I've included on my list some recommendations from friends and also some of my family's favorites.

They even have my son's favorite, peanut butter and jam bagel. It's along the river and they have outdoor seating in the summer. Baby seats available.

Milano Ennis

11 O'Connell Street
Ennis
Tel. 065 6822131
Website: www.milano.ie

Italian fare with tasty children's menu, coloring activities for kids, and baby change facilities. They also provided paper chef hats to the kids which surprisingly entertained my kids for quite a while. My kids loved the food and the bambinoccino at the end of the meal was a big hit.

Some other places that mom's have recommended as very child friendly are the restaurant in The Old Ground Hotel, Ennis, The Bakehouse in Miltown Malbay, and O'Looney's Bar / Waves Restaurant on the Promenade, Lahinch.

There are always the places that kids love that give toys with kid's meals:

McDonald's in Ennis and Shannon
Eddie Rocket's
Subway

** These restaurants have been approved as providing healthy kids menus, based on nutritional guidelines, by RTE’s The Afternoon Show. Look out for the ‘Improved Tasty and Healthy Menu For Kids’ sticker and charter in the restaurant.

Please email me if you know of other great restaurants that deserve mentioning.
